Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your care team. We administer dental benefits for Wellcare members in Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, and North Carolina.

Your plan offers a member portal. Use it to check your coverage status, pay your premium, view your benefits and claims, find a dental provider, and get your ID card.

Your Wellcare ID card is all you need to see your dentist. No need for a separate dental card.

Get Reimbursed (HMO, HMO-POS, PPO, PFFS members)

For fastest service, we encourage all Medicare members to find a dentist in our network.

Members in HMO-POS, PPO, or PFFS plans may choose to go to a dentist outside our network. Out-of-network providers can submit claims directly to Centene Dental Services or require you to pay upfront. If you pay upfront, you will need to submit a Direct Member Reimbursement Form to us in order to request reimbursement for covered services.

Out-of-network (OON) payment is calculated using the plan’s in-network fee schedule up to the plan maximum, less any member responsibility (e.g., copayment or coinsurance). You are responsible for any additional amounts. For example: the provider bills the health plan $500 for covered services. The in-network fee schedule is $300 so the plan pays the out-of-network provider $300. The member has a 50% coinsurance = $150. The plan pays $150. You are responsible for the remaining $200 balance owed. Your total payment responsibility in this scenario is $350.

What to expect

Most completed requests process within 60 days and the reimbursement will be sent to the address on record.

After processing your claims, you will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). The EOB explains the charges applied to your deductible (the fixed dollar amount you pay for covered services before the insurer starts to make payments) and any charges you may owe the provider. Please keep your EOB on file in case you need it in the future.
